Shajra ( Chart of descendents )


A Geneaological Chart showing the descendents of Maulvi Shaikh Habeeb-ur-Rahman, TALUQDAR OF MIANGANJ ( UNNAO) --------This a Shaikh (Siddiqi )family.




1.     Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman died on 27th September 1875. He had two sons. Maulvi Shaikh Khalil-ur-Rahman ,Rais, Unnao and Tehsildar Jalil-ur-Rahman. The line of Jalil ur Rahman is not given here.
2.     Khalil-ur-Rahman passed away in 1951.
3.     Fatima was married in a Shia Syed family that migrated to Pakistan after partition.
4.     Sarwari was married to Mr.Sultan Ahmad, owner of Burlington Hotel, Lucknow
5.     Hafz-ur-Rahman had no issue.
6.     Hafiz-ur-Rahman was a government servant.
7.     Nick Names of the family –Hafz-ur-Rahman (Bhundu Miyan), Khaleeq-ur-Rahman ( Achchhan Miyan)


Most important document


This is the most important document retrieved from the record room of District Unnao. It shows that Wasi-uz-Zaman’s name had been added as the successor of Habeeb-ur-Rahman and he is clearly mentioned as son of Lal Khan and then a later modification shows Lal Khan’s name struck off having replaced with the word “Khalaf Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman. This shows that Wasi-uz-zaman’s name was added to make him succeed the estate of Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman Taluqdar.

Here again it says Maulvi Khalil-ur-Rahman son of Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman.

This document clearly shows Khan Bahadur Wasi-uz-Zaman as the Khalaf ( Successor) of Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman and not as son. This is a revenue record from the record-room of the District Courts,Unnao.

This document written in 5th May 1893, mentions that the sons of Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman, namely , Khalil-ur-Rahman & Jalil-ur-Rahman have equal share in property and that day , Maulvi Khalil-ur-Rahman personally witnessed this document and verified it

A decisive document !


Here Khalil-ur-Rahman is clearly mentioned as the son of (Wald) Habib-ur-Rahman Qaum(Caste) Sheikh, resident of Asiwan while Wasi uz Zaman has not been addressed as son. He is simply shown as the husband of Aleem-un-Nisa. If he was a son , he should have been clearly mentioned here.
